Our Team

The Cork Partners team is comprised of seasoned operators, leaders, and advisors with a history of sustained performance.

Jack O’Donnell
Founder

A Baltimore native, Jack has a background in consulting, sales, and competitive sports that  positions him to successfully lead and run a business. Jack's upbringing, rooted in the values of grit, integrity, humility, hustle, and teamwork, shapes his perspective. His parents – an Irish-American orthopedic surgeon who played basketball for Dean Smith at the University of North Carolina and a professional writer and editor who comes from a family of farmers in Oklahoma – imparted lessons of hard work and respect from an early age.

At the McChrystal Group, Jack partnered with dozens of senior leaders across the Technology, Healthcare, Insurance, Energy, Education, Aerospace, Automotive, and Financial Services industries to help them mold a “team of teams,” in accordance with General McChrystal’s philosophy that organizations that operate as a nimble group of teams aligned around a common mission will consistently outperform competitors. Jack led the firm’s expansion efforts in several major cities, meeting over 200 senior business leaders in the process. It was this experience that solidified his conviction that good leadership is the key ingredient to a company’s long-term success. Jack’s time working in software sales at Oracle equipped him with the skills to navigate complex business landscapes and develop a deep understanding of client needs.

Jack brings extensive experience building and leading teams – from rowing on Georgetown's varsity heavyweight crew team, to being a top sales rep at Oracle, to directing the growth team at McChrystal Group, to chairing the Entrepreneurship Club at Tuck, he is committed to persevering in complex operating environments and delivering value. Jack recently completed his MBA at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where he hosted dozens of small business leaders as the founder of Tuck’s Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition Club.

When he’s not focused on partnering with business owners, you’ll find Jack golfing, skiing, flying, or watching sports.
